Richard AhrenbergRichard Carl ‘Rick’ Ahrenberg

Richard Carl ‘Rick’ Ahrenberg, 69, of Wilhoit and formerly of Goodyear died Feb. 2, 2014, in Prescott.

Mr. Ahrenberg was born March 23, 1944, in Phoenix.

He served in the Army as a military policeman.

He spent more than 50 years in Arizona.

He is survived by his wife, Connie; two sons, Tim and John; five siblings; and four grandchildren.

No services will be held at Mr. Ahrenberg’s request.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, American Diabetes Association or American Lung Association.

Collis BrownCollis T. Brown

Collis T. Brown, 67, of Salome and formerly of Goodyear died Feb. 2, 2014, at his home.

Mr. Brown was born Oct. 1, 1946, in Liberal, Kan., to Carl and Rose Brown.

He was involved in the West Valley cattle and horse community.

He is survived by his wife, Alyce Brown; one daughter, Tyanna Heiden; two sons, Brannon Brown and Loren Brown; his mother, Rose Brown; one sister, Penny Schultz; two brothers, Dan Brown and Greg Brown; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Skyway Church, 14900 W. Van Buren St., Goodyear.

A reception will follow.

Joel Ibarra

Joel Ibarra, 4 months, of Tolleson died Feb. 3, 2014, in Glendale.

Joel was born in Phoenix.

A visitation will be from noon to 5 p.m. with a chapel service at 3 p.m. today at Advantage Crystal Rose Funeral Home, 9155 W. Van Buren St., Tolleson.

Roberto Padilla Mendoza

Roberto Padilla Mendoza, 76, of Buckeye died Jan. 13, 2014, at his home.

Mr. Mendoza was born May 4, 1937, in Nogales.

He lived in Buckeye for 44 years and worked as a foreman in construction, handyman and rancher.

He is survived by his ex-wife, Esther Galindo; three sons, Robert Jr., Andrew and Daniel; three daughters, Catherine, Rebecca and Maria Antoinette; three sisters, Nena, Francis and Olga; three brothers, Pete, Guillermo and Hector; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services and visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at Thompson Funeral Chapel, 926 S. Litchfield Road, Goodyear.

Burial will follow at Sunwest Cemetery, 12525 NW Grand Ave., El Mirage.

Raul M. Pena

Raul M. Pena, 66, of Glendale and formerly of Tolleson, died Feb. 5, 2014.

Mr. Pena was born Sept. 22, 1947, to Ramon and Elena Pena.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Maria Pena; four sons, Daniel Mauricio, Jose Raul, Jorge and Armando; one daughter, Maria Elena Pena; his father, Ramon; two brothers, Jose Ramon and Miguel Angel; four sisters, Eva, Ana Maria, Ofelia and Luz Maria; and eight grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Feb. 10 at Advantage Crystal Rose Chapel, 9155 W. Van Buren St., Tolleson.

A funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Feb. 11 at the same location.

Keith RumpleKeith Alexander Rumple

Keith Alexander Rumple, 47, of Avondale died Jan. 13, 2014, at West Valley Hospital in Goodyear.

Mr. Rumple was born Dec. 6, 1966, in Petersburg, Va.

He was a field supervisor for Averus.

He is survived by his parents, Carole Taylor and Alfred Rumple; one son, Derrick A. Rumple; and three brothers, Carl Rumple, Eric Rumple and Keven Rumple.

Services were private.

Eleanor Selby-BradyEleanor Selby-Brady

Eleanor Selby-Brady, 77, of Avondale and formerly of Sun City, died Feb. 1, 2014.

Mrs. Selby-Brady was born Aug. 7, 1936, in Carmi, Ill., to Herman and Lorene Gidcumb.

She moved to Mesa when she was a teenager.

She married Luther Selby of Mesa in 1954. Selby died in 1994, and in 2003, she married Allen Brady and moved to Sun City.

When Brady died in 2012, she moved to Avondale.

She was preceded in death by two husbands, Luther Selby and Allen Brady.

She is survived by three sons, Dan, Mike and Larry; one daughter, Debbie; 19 grandchildren; and 26 grandchildren.

Nellie YanezNellie Yanez

Nellie Yanez, 71, of Buckeye died Jan. 29, 2014, in Avondale.

Ms. Yanez was born Dec. 31, 1942, in Buckeye.

She was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church.

She is survived by three sisters, Cammie Craft, Barbara Hyers and Mary Yanez; and three brothers, Joe Yanez, Robert Yanez and Manuel Yanez.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. today at St. Henry Catholic Church, 24750 W. Lower Buckeye Road, Buckeye.

The Rev. William Kosko will officiate.
