Desert wash discovery hike

Interpretive Ranger Jessica Bland will show how critical desert washes are to the well-being of the desert on this hike. The route is a walk through one of the longer washes in the park and includes some rock-hopping, uneven surfaces and walking in sand. No dogs are allowed. Meet at 9 a.m. at the Area 9 trail head at White Tank Mountain Regional Park, 20304 W. White Tank Mountain Road, Waddell. Park entry is $6 per vehicle.

Silk screen printing for youths

Annual Christmas parade

The Savannah Community’s annual Christmas Parade will be at 5:30 p.m. near Camelback and Perryville roads. Up to 45 vehicles, plus a fire truck and ambulance, decorated with festive lights will be in the parade. Buckeye Bookmobile on the move

The Buckeye Bookmobile will visit the Sundance Active Adult Center, 930 S. Sundance Parkway, from 9 a.m. to noon and Tartesso Community Park from 1 to 4 p.m.

M.A.S.H. Food Distribution

Citrus Road Nazarene Church hosts M.A.S.H, or Miracles Are Still Happening, food distribution from 7 to 9 a.m. the third Saturday of each month at the church, 418 S. Citrus Road, Goodyear. Thirty to 50 pounds of food will be available for a $10 donation. The event runs on a first-come, first-served basis; food supplies vary each month.

Desert Mariners of Arizona meeting
