Halloween activities are scheduled in Buckeye and Goodyear Saturday, Oct. 24. In Buckeye, the 80th annual Halloween party is scheduled for 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Skyline Park. Families are encouraged to decorate their cars, trucks and vans in Halloween décor when they drive through the five different spooky stops to receive Halloween treats and more. 

All treats, goodies and activities will be pre-packaged and sanitized per CDC guidelines. Staff will being wearing masks and gloves, following social distancing regulations, use hand sanitizer regularly and will frequently disinfect areas for everyone’s safety.

The Goodyear Fall Fest continues from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24 (ticketed event - SOLD OUT) and from 6 to 10 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25 - ticketless event. Lines will be formed and queued with visitors entering on a first-come, first-served structure.

“We are thrilled at the community response to our Fall Festival drive-thru,” said Brenna Hosey, Goodyear Parks and Recreation Festival & Events Coordinator. “The city of Goodyear is proud to offer something to celebrate fall during this time of uncertainty. This event will offer a little trick and a little treat, all from the safety of your vehicle.”
Measures will be taken to ensure the CDC guidelines are upheld during this event. No part of the route will require anyone to leave their vehicle. Characters will roam the space while still maintaining a social distance. At the end of the route, free candy and pumpkins will be provided to event attendees, while supplies last.
A virtual costume contest will also be a part of the festivities. Attendees can submit a photo of themselves wearing their Halloween costumes, along with the hashtag #GoodInGoodyear, on Goodyear Parks and Recreation’s Facebook and Instagram pages. Attendees can enter in one of four categories.
