Residents of Avondale and Goodyear are invited to take part in a survey to provide input about the future of transit in their communities.
The cities of Avondale and Goodyear, in cooperation with the Maricopa Association of Governments, are seeking input for the Avondale-Goodyear Transit Study.
The study is evaluating the need for new and/or improved transit service in these communities.
In addition to traditional bus service, the study will evaluate emerging alternatives, such as micro transit, on-demand ride-sharing programs, subsidized ride-hailing such as taxis, Uber or Lyft and other transit services.
The study will include a review of existing conditions, a best-practices report, a market analysis, route and service recommendations, and public and stakeholder outreach throughout the project.
