Eastbound Interstate 10 was closed Thursday morning in Tonopah because of a rollover crash involving a tractor-trailer, authorities said.

The semi rolled at Milepost 90, or 443rd Avenue, about four miles west of the 411th Avenue interchange in Tonopah, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

“We do not have an expected time for the road to reopen, but it will be an extended closure,” Tom Herrmann, an ADOT spokesman, said in a press release.

In the meantime, eastbound traffic was being detoured off the freeway at Exit 81 (Salome Road), south to Courthouse Road (which becomes the Salome Highway), east to Wintersburg Road, and then north to I-10, Hermann said.

Details about the rollover crash were not available.
