Several firefighters from the Buckeye Fire Department, Buckeye Valley Rural Fire District and Goodyear Fire Department were dispatched Tuesday to put out a fire that erupted in a storage building near 190th Avenue and Culver Street in Buckeye.

The 40-foot-by-70-foot building was “heavily involved in fire” when firefighters arrived at approximately 6:30 p.m., said Bob Costello, fire chief for the Buckeye Fire Department.

“Fire crews totally extinguished it within two hours. The fire was kept from spreading into the primary structure, but the building contents were a complete loss,” he said.

No injuries were reported, Costello said.

He added that the cause of the fire is unknown and under investigation.
